Cat Mom Calgary’s nondiscrimination policy

Cat Mom Calgary is committed to providing inclusive and caring cat sitting. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities or disabilities, health statuses, national origins, ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ2+ and BIPOC communities, immigrant or resident statuses, religions, socioeconomic statuses, family and household configurations, and relationship or marital statuses. In short, anyone who seeks my cat sitting services can fully expect that I will treat them fairly and with the respect they deserve as a human being.

The factors I use in deciding if I can provide cat sitting services to any client or potential client are as follows:

  1. Is the person seeking in-home cat sitting for their cat(s)?

  2. Do my services and skills meet the needs of their cats?

  3. Is the client or potential client located in my service area?

  4. Do I have the availability for when the client or potential client would like to book me?

If I am unable to provide cat sitting to someone and give them a referral to a professional pet sitter colleague, that colleague, to the best of my knowledge, is also welcoming and inclusive of the above categories and someone I either have booked or would book to look after my own cats.

Cat sitting has an inherent vulnerability built into it for clients because I am providing in-home services when they are not home for their beloved cat family members. That’s why it’s important clients and potential clients know that, whoever they are, I welcome and honour them and their business.
